Local Heritage (IGSS)

Each village, townland and parish has a wealth of local heritage. Surprisingly, much of it may already be forgotten.

IGSS wants to hear about your heritage and can then use desktop and field surveying techniques to further discover and map the local heritage. Roads can be specially surveyed to allow you to use the maps in any way you wish.

The map could be as simple as a road map (for a brochure or the Web) to show where the village is and its main features, or it could have roads, houses, archaeological, historical and even other features which no longer exist, showing even the names of the houses' occupants (in 1855) on the map or on separate tables.

The style can be clear, modern and matter-of-fact or mock-antique.

For issues too complex to show on a map, table and databases can be provided.

Maybe you have a completely different idea.

JUST ASK!
